Leaf by Leaf: A Fall Tree ID Series

Trees are fascinating organisms with tens of thousands of species across the planet. Here in Ohio, we have over 120 species, and it can be hard to remember all of their names.
In this course, naturalist Mitch will cover the basics of tree ID. We will trek across the Park District and other locations to find, ID, and catalog as many species as we can. Participants will use their "Tree Finder" to properly observe and recognize the key features and traits of each species.
This series will span from mid-September to the first week of November in order to identify as many trees as possible before the leaves fall for winter.
