Build-A-Camp Preschool Summer Camp (Ages 3-5)

Build-A-Camp is a preschool adventure fueled by imagination! Together, we’ll decide where to set up our camp and dream up the perfect design. What kind of shelter will we build? Where should we place our (faux) fire, and how will we “light” it? What’s our plan for finding food? Should we decorate our camp, and if so, how? Through creative play and hands-on activities, we’ll design and create our own base camp, preschool-style—bringing big ideas to life in the great outdoors!

All the while, children will be learning about structures and trees, fire safety, foraging in the wild, hiking and getting to know our neighbors: insects, squirrels, and birds. We will get earthy so wear old clothes and shoes.

Ages 3-5 (parent/guardian must attend).

Note:

Parent/Guardian Must attend. Child should be toilet trained.

Payment
Payment must be received at least FOUR weeks prior to the first day of camp to confirm your reservation. Reservations unconfirmed by payment will be offered to persons on a waiting list.

No refunds for missed sessions or early departures.

Camper Needs:
> Daypacks/Backpacks: Great for carrying raingear, water bottles, and treasures from activities.
> Sunscreen: Apply at home. DCP staff will not provide or apply sunscreen.
> Raingear: Campers will be outside in all but severe weather. Include raingear in the daypack.
> Insect repellent: If desired, apply it outside before arrival. DCP staff will not apply repellent.
> Clothing: Campers will be outside and likely get dirty. Dress for the weather and comfort.
> Footwear: No sandals. Sturdy shoes provide protection and comfort on (and off) park trails.
> Water bottles: We may be away from drinking fountains for the day. Bring a water bottle.
