Intro to Paddling-Part 1

Have you ever paddled in a kayak/canoe? If not, join an ODNR trained naturalist for an introduction to paddling. We’ll learn how to enter and exit our boats, proper paddling techniques, and safety tips to ensure you are ready for a fun day on the water! This class is geared for inexperienced or beginner-level paddlers who wish to gain experience and confidence in a kayak and/or canoe. Part one of this beginner's class will occur on a flat, open pond. Look for part two where we will learn boat control on the Greenville Creek.

Note:

Dress to get wet; Bring water and snacks. Sunscreen and sun protection is advisable.

Paddlers under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian paddling as well.
If paddling a canoe, BOTH paddlers must register.
